Welcome to Environmentalists Collect

Become a Part of Something Bigger

Welcome to Environmentalist Collect!

This non - profit website is a tool for all ages to come together to find new and innovative ways of improving the wellbeing of our environment. Our politicians we vote in are not doing what they promised, and it's only a matter of time before worse comes to worst and we lose our beautiful planet to the climate crisis at hand. We only ask for you to browse and hear us out on many of these issues. Maybe it might move you to donate to some of these hard-working foundations and movements, or maybe to get involved and write to your local politician on these issues. Thank you and we can't wait to get started with you all!

The Simple Things

Turning Interest Into Action

Some Small Ways to Get Involved

  • Reduce, reuse, and recycle. Cut down on what you throw away. Follow the three "R's" to conserve natural resources and landfill space.

  • Volunteer. Volunteer for cleanups in your community. You can get involved in protecting your watershed, too.

  • Educate. When you further your own education, you can help others understand the importance and value of our natural resources.

  • Conserve water. The less water you use, the less runoff and wastewater that eventually end up in the ocean.

  • Choose sustainable. Learn how to make smart seafood choices at www.fishwatch.gov.

  • Shop wisely. Buy less plastic and bring a reusable shopping bag.

  • Use long-lasting light bulbs. Energy efficient light bulbs reduce greenhouse gas emissions. Also flip the light switch off when you leave the room!

  • Plant a tree. Trees provide food and oxygen. They help save energy, clean the air, and help combat climate change.

  • Don't send chemicals into our waterways. Choose non-toxic chemicals in the home and office.

  • Bike more. Drive less.

Advocacy

Promote and Advocate with Passion

Some Ways to Advocate

  • Call or write people in government who represent you, local and state.  Tell them how you feel.  They will only act if they feel enough votes are at stake.

  • Call or write corporate headquarters.  Tell them how you feel.  They will only act if they feel enough dollars are at stake.

  • Keep reusable bags in your car and take them with you as you shop.  If you must take a bag from a store, take paper.

  • Tell your wait staff, “No straws please” as soon as you sit down, before you find yourself with a table full of straws.

  • Find a fun metal water bottle that you enjoy having with you.  That way you will skip using a plastic one.

  • Have reusable morning coffee mugs handy.  Most coffee shops will give you a small discount for BYO. Skip the disposable ones.

  • Create Social Media accounts to help spread messages across the world to friends and family
